Upon restating the X server, rerunning `xinput -list-props` on the device shows that the value of `libinput Left Handed Enabled` is persistent and remains at value of 1. Identifier "Logitech G Pro Left Handed Mapping" I made a libinput config file at `/etc/X11//nf` with the following: > trigger -s input` resets it to the defaultsįor anyone experiencing left handed mode reverting back to right-handed, I discovered that when changing between wireless and wired mode on my Logitech mouse, running `xinput -list-props` in terminal, `libinput Left Handed Enabled` changes from value 1 to 0.

Until recently Bluetooth was problematic, often not enabled on power up and with sometimes no adapter detected. I do not know if this is part of the problem. There is no event that I can identify causing this to happen. Today this ritual restores left-handedness for less than a minute. Today, on power up, the left-handed radio button is checked.Īs usual in order to trigger left-handedness, I had to toggle the radio button off and on. I am using Tumbleweed updated yesterday with no modification or scripts. I am using an ASUS UX305C laptop to type this report. I am confused about the latest comment on bug 397971 suggesting that the mouse settings problem be dealt with here. I think this started with the 5.21.3 version. Change mouse pointer speed so that it's easy to notice the difference The settings, in System Settings > Input > Mouse, are as I set them, but they are not applied to the mouse.ġ. There seems to be some setting that is getting stored that causes this to happen again once it has been tripped.I have set the pointer speed lower than the default (to the 4th tick mark in the slider) when I installed the OS.īut for a while now, when I restart the pc, the pointer is way faster then it should be and I have to reconfigure it. restarting gpm or switching to terminal mode and back like this post suggests does not seem to reset the problem:

So far so good, even though I have switched (now just the KV part) to windows and back.Īfter a couple of hours I got the problem again, and it returns soon after restarting X. I went through the Xorg -configure step again, and this time have stayed with the wired mouse. I switched back to KVM mode and didn't see the problem - I figured I had been hallucinating - but then it started again! Even when I went back to the directly wired mouse I saw this issue. This seemed to do the trick, the mouse behaved well. I stopped X, and ran Xorg -configure to regenerate a new nf file. Late last night I got another mouse and plugged it in directly to the linux box. I did try taking the KVM out of the equation for the mouse:
